Fair Day and hounds

I actually had a FUN mom day and took the kids to the fair this year--all by myself! We had a blast! Ashley surprised me--she's much more fearless than I expected. Had she been a few inches taller, she would have riden with the bravest! This is the first year Steven was tall enough to ride anything he wanted (and the first year he's had a wrist band). He simply couldn't get around to everything fast enough! Avery thought she was in Disneyland! Gage enjoyed his ride in the back pack and watching all the action! Sure was fun to see them all so happy! Brought back fun memories for me of the Eastern Idaho State Fair--something my family looked forward to every year! I anticipated the food most of all--since carnival rides have always made me ill. So, why is it that I only allowed my children to have a snowcone? ONE snow cone--all five of us shared it! It's a lot different being on the parenting end of the food and fun. We had a great day!

I think Gage's fascination with animals is hilarious! However, it could get him into a world of hurt! Good thing the dog was friendly--and yes, I did ask before I let him near. This was taken at the Johnson Family Reunion in Jerome a few months ago.

Okay one question: how on earth did you survive the fair eating only a partial snow cone. PLEASE share your secrets, as I probably consumed enough calories in one day to feed an entire family of sumo wrestlers! Cute pics! Your kids look like they had a blast. Oh and I would LOVE to come to one of your classes too and get some fresh ideas, but I have nothing to do with my kiddos because my hubby is working!

Way to go! I haven't been to a fair for years - in fact Nathan has never been to one. I should remedy that. Your pictures were awesome. Thanks for sharing.

I love your posts. there has never been another fair for me, quite like the Blackfoot Fair. Fun times.

Miss you. I will call when we are there this coming week.

I love all the collages. How do you do this? Your family is so adorable. They all look like Ryan. How lucky yet, do you get any credit. They came out of you right? So fun to finally see updated pictures of you all. I love this blogging thing.
